Winter in California is when our citrus trees are bursting with fruit. One of my favorites is my small Meyer lemon tree that, despite it’s size, graces me with plenty of lemons for myself, family, and friends!
In the past I’ve shared my lemon ricotta lasagne recipe, but this time I’m sharing a recipe for a lemon drop cocktail…something (until recently) I hadn’t had in about 10 years! It was an Instagram friend who gave me the idea and the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz fresh Meyer lemon juice
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz simple syrup (or a little less if you like)
- a dash of triple sec (optional)
- lavender sugar to rim the glass
- a dash of triple sec (optional)
Instructions:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add lemon juice, vodka, simple syrup and triple sec. Shake well.
- Pour into sugar rimmed glass. I like to use Krista’s Baking Co. lavender infused cane sugar and garnish with a sprig of lavender.
Happy sipping!
Can’t wait to try! Thanks for the recipe!
You’re welcome! Enjoy!
