Florida House Tour: “Barefoot Cottage”

My mom and I both share a passion for decorating. Over the years and through many different homes, we have collaborated our ideas. When we visit each other we invariably take on some decorating projects in our respective homes. Last year, we revamped the cottage’s living room and rehung the gallery wall. This year we edited the master bedroom and added some touches of blue and so on.

My mom loves white (which is incredibly brave since the grandchildren come to visit often!), is extremely neat, and loves to entertain. Both she and my dad have designed and built many homes. “Barefoot Cottage” was a 2000 square foot fixer which they gutted, added a new kitchen, enclosed the screen porch, added hardwood floors and revamped the bathrooms.

It is like a breath of summer…

Did I mention my parents are building a new home in Vermont? It’s going to be a modern farmhouse style on 10+ gorgeous acres.  You can bet I will be visiting soon to help with the fun stuff! Stay tuned…
